Orioles' Richie Martin to have wrist surgery
Baltimore Orioles shortstop Richie Martin is scheduled to have right wrist surgery on Wednesday.
Martin fractured his wrist while sliding into a base during an intrasquad game Friday. He's unlikely to be available for the Orioles during MLB's scheduled 60-game season. Pat Valaika and Andrew Velazquez should make more starts with Martin unavailable.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Orioles are tied for having the worst odds (+30000) to win the 2020 World Series.
