Padres' Trey Wingenter (elbow) out for 2020 season
San Diego Padres pitcher Trey Wingenter has been ruled out for the entire 2020 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
Wingenter is expected to miss all of the shortened 2020 season and some of the following 2021 season as he recovers. He threw 51 innings for the Padres last season, resulting in a 1 win 3 loss record, 5.65 ERA, 1.216 WHIP, 72 strikeouts, and 28 walks.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Padres have the eleventh-worst odds (+4600) to win the 2020 World Series.
