Brewers place Manny Pina on injured list with toe fracture
The Milwaukee Brewers placed catcher Manny Pina on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left big toe.
What It Means:
Pina suffered the injury on Monday night against the Marlins and there is currently no timetable for his return. The Brewers called up Luke Maile from their alternate training site to be Omar Narvaez's backup. Narvaez will catch Adrian Houser on Tuesday and hit second versus left-hander Daniel Castano and the Miami Marlins. Keston Hiura will bat cleanup.
