Aaron Hicks (wrist) not in Yankees' Thursday lineup

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks is sitting Thursday in the team's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

What It Means:

According to manager Aaron Boone, Hicks is dealing with some wrist soreness. The team got some imagine done on the ailment as a precaution, but it's not expected to keep him out for an extended period of time. He's being replaced in center field by Brett Gardner against Rays starter Rich HIll.

In 126 plate appearances this season, Hicks has a .194 batting average with a .627 OPS, 4 home runs, 13 runs and 14 RBI.
