Victor Reyes called up, in center field Monday for Tigers

Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes is in the lineup for Monday's series opener against left-hander Sam Hentges and the Cleveland Indians.

What It Means:

Reyes will start in center field over JaCoby Jones and hit eighth after being recalled from Triple-A Toledo prior to Monday's game. Reyes was demoted earlier this month after hitting just .143/.169/.238 with 18 strikeouts and 2 walks over 65 plate appearances. The Tigers optioned Jones to Toledo in a corresponding roster move.

numberFire’s models project Reyes for 7.6 FanDuel points and he has a $2,300 salary on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Tigers have an implied total of 4.7 runs. Hentges' strikeout percentage (19.7) and walk percentage (11.8) are both ranked in the bottom-three among all listed starters on Monday's slate.
