Santiago Espnial sitting Tuesday for Toronto
Toronto Blue Jays infielder Santiago Espinal is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against right-hander Corey Kluber and the New York Yankees.
Joe Panik will start on third base in place of Espinal and hit eighth. It will be Panik's first action since activated off the 10-day injured list with a left calf strain. He will likely take playing time away from Espinal while Cavan Biggio (spine) remains out.
numberFire’s models project Panik for 6.6 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Blue Jays have an implied total of 4.2 runs. Kluber owns a 24.3 strikeout percentage and 9.7 walk percentage this season.
