Joc Pederson leading off for Dodgers Friday afternoon
Chicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson is back in the starting lineup for Friday afternoon's series opener against right-hander Vladimir Gutierrez and the Cincinnati Reds.
Pederson was held out of Thursday's lineup with a left-hander starting on the opposite mound. He will return to left field and bat leadoff in Friday's matinee. Rafael Ortega will move to right field in place of Patrick Wisdom. Willson Contreras has been bumped down to fifth after leading off for the Cubs last game. The Reds' Gutierrez will be making his MLB debut.
numberFire’s models project Pederson for 12.3 FanDuel points and he has a $2,900 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cubs have an implied total of 3.6 runs and the over/under for the game is only 6.5 runs.
