Gregory Polanco on Pirates' bench Thursday afternoon
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Julio Urias and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Polanco provided the Pirates' only run in Wednesday's 2-1 loss with an RBI single. It was Polanco's only hit of the night and he is 3-for-26 this month. Phillip Evans will replace Polanco in right field for Thursday's matinee and hit fifth.
numberFire’s models project Evans for 8.4 FanDuel points and he has a $2,200 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, Urias has the lowest walk rate (3.9 percent) out of Thursday's listed starters. The Pirates have an implied total of 3.6 runs, fourth-lowest out of the 20 teams playing Thursday.
