Mitch Moreland on Athletics' bench Tuesday
Oakland Athletics designated hitter Mitch Moreland is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday against left-hander Andrew Heaney and the Los Angeles Angels.
Moreland went 2-for-5 with a two-run single and a pair of runs in a win over the Angels on Monday. He has reached safely in five of the last six games but is batting .244 with a .688 OPS overall. Jed Lowrie will serve as Oakland's DH on Tuesday and bat cleanup. Tony Kemp will be on second base and Mark Canha will be in left field. Skye Bolt will make a start in center field and hit ninth.
