Salvador Perez (head) at DH Thursday for Royals
Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez is in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Jameson Taillon and the New York Yankees.
Perez left Wednesday's game after getting hit in the mask by a pitch. He apparently avoided a concussion but will still take a day off from behind the plate. Sebastian Rivero will catch Brad Keller and bat ninth. Jorge Soler is out of the lineup.
numberFire’s models project Perez for 12.9 FanDuel points and he has a $3,500 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Royals have an implied total of 4.0 runs. Taillon is registering a 25.0 strikeout percentage and a 7.1 walk percentage this season.
