Rays' Vidal Brujan on bench Monday
Tampa Bay Rays infielder/outfielder Vidal Brujan is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Spenser Watkins and the Baltimore Orioles.
Brujan recorded an RBI single in his very first major-league at-bat on July 7, but he's gone hitless in every appearance since. Brandon Lowe is moving to second base and the leadoff spot in place of Brujan on Monday. Austin Meadows is entering the lineup to play left field and hit cleanup.
numberFire’s models project Lowe for 14.0 FanDuel points and he has a $3,200 salary on Monday. Meadows ($3,100) is projected for 11.5 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays are one of four teams in the majors on Monday with an implied total above 5.0 runs. Watkins is registering a 14.6 strikeout percentage with a 14.6 walk percentage across 10 1/3 innings this season.
