Marlins move Garrett Cooper (elbow) to injured list
The Miami Marlins placed first baseman/outfielder Garrett Cooper on the 10-day injured list with a left elbow sprain.
What It Means:
Cooper was removed from Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Phillies in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Marlins haven't indicated how much time Cooper is expected to miss. Jesus Aguilar is playing first base and batting third in Monday's series opener against left-hander Jon Lester and the Washington Nationals.
