Nicky Lopez sitting again for Kansas City Monday
Kansas City Royals infielder Nicky Lopez is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against left-hander Dallas Keuchel and the Chicago White Sox.
Lopez is being held out for a second straight game against a left-handed pitcher. Hanser Alberto is making another start at shortstop and hitting seventh.
numberFire’s models project Alberto for 8.2 FanDuel points and he has a $2,100 salary on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Royals have an implied total of 4.6 runs. Keuchel's xBA (.292) and strikeout percentage (14.6) both rank in the bottom three percent of the majors this season, among qualified pitchers.
