Rays place Brett Phillips (ankle) on 10-day injured list

The Tampa Bay Rays placed outfielder Brett Phillips on the 10-day injured list with a right ankle sprain.

What It Means:

The Rays haven't indicated how much time Phillips is expected to miss. Manuel Margot should pick up more starts while Phillips is out. Margot is replacing Phillips in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Nick Pivetta and the Boston Red Sox to play right field and hit seventh.

numberFire’s models project Margot for 8.6 FanDuel points and he has a $2,700 salary on Monday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays have an implied total of 4.5 runs. Pivetta is registering a 26.1 strikeout percentage and a 10.3 walk percentage this season, with a 3.94 xERA and a .304 xwOBA.
