Jed Lowrie cleaning up for Athletics against White Sox
Oakland Athletics designated hitter Jed Lowrie is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's series opener against right-hander Jimmy Lambert and the Chicago White Sox.
What It Means:
The Athletics held Lowrie out on Sunday and then they were off on Labor Day. The 37-year-old veteran is returning to the lineup Tuesday in place of Khris Davis to bat cleanup as Oakland's DH.
