Astros' Jeremy Pena starting at shortstop in MLB debut
Houston Astros infielder Jeremy Pena is starting at shortstop and hitting seventh on Thursday versus right-hander Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels.
Pena performed well in the spring and he will make his MLB debut as Houston's starting shortstop. The Astros' full Opening Day lineup: Jose Altuve 2B, Michael Brantley DH, Alex Bregman 3B, Yordan Alvarez LF, Yuli Gurriel 1B, Kyle Tucker RF, Pena SS, Chas McCormick CF, Martin Maldonado C. Framber Valdez is toeing the rubber for the Astros.
numberFire's models project Pena for 8.0 FanDuel points, and he has a $2,000 salary on Thursday's slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Astros have the fourth-lowest implied total in the majors on Thursday.
