Twins place Royce Lewis (knee) on 10-day IL
The Minnesota Twins have placed Royce Lewis (knee) on the 10-day Injured List.
Lewis is dealing with a bone bruise suffered during Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals, and will undergo further testing once the swelling in his knee subsides. Nick Gordon will play centerfield in Monday's game against the Detroit Tigers in Lewis' absence.
The exciting rookie has 2 home runs, 5 runs, 5 RBI, a .300 batting average, and a .867 OPS through 41 plate appearances so far this season. Hopefully he will be able to make a speedy and successful recovery.
