Nico Hoerner held out of Cubs' lineup Friday afternoon
Chicago Cubs infielder Nico Hoerner is not in the starting lineup for Friday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Rich Hill and the Boston Red Sox.
Hoerner appears to be receiving a routine breather in the matinee at Wrigley. Andrelton Simmons is replacing Hoerner at shortstop and hitting ninth.
numberFire’s models project Simmons for 6.9 FanDuel points on Friday, and he has a $2,200 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cubs' implied total (3.78) is 23rd in the majors on Friday.
