Kevin Kiermaier (hip) placed on Rays' injured list
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier has been placed on the injured list.
Kiermaier continues to deal with left hip inflammation, and as a result, the team has decided to move him to the 10-day injured list. It's unclear how long he'll be sidelined for. In the meantime, Luke Raley has been recalled from Triple-A Durham to take Kiermaier's place on the active roster.
In 221 plate appearances this season, Kiermaier has a .228 batting average with a .649 OPS, 7 home runs, 28 runs, 22 RBI and 6 stolen bases.
