Dixon Machado traded to Giants, in lineup Sunday night
Chicago Cubs infielder Dixon Machado has been traded to the San Francisco Giants Sunday afternoon.
The Giants were in a bit of a situation with Thairo Estrada going on the concussion IL. As a result, they have decided to acquire Machado. With the two clubs playing one another, Machado has simply walked across the field to the home team's clubhouse. in his first game in the organization, Machado will get the nod at shortstop, batting seventh in the order versus Cubs starter Adrian Sampson.
