Matt Carpenter moving to Yankees' bench Monday
New York Yankees outfielder Matt Carpenter is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against left-hander Marco Gonzales and the Seattle Mariners.
The Yankees are holding the lefty-hitting Carpenter out against Seattle's southpaw. Aaron Judge will cover right field while Aaron Hicks starts in center and bats seventh.
Judge is numberFire's top-projected hitter in the majors on Monday at 16.1 FanDuel points, and he also has the highest salary at $5,000. Hicks has a $2,700 salary and is projected for 10.2 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Yankees’ implied total (5.12) is second-highest out of 20 active teams Monday.
