Jed Lowrie joining Oakland bench Thursday
Oakland Athletics designated hitter Jed Lowrie is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Janson Junk and the Los Angeles Angels.
Lowrie will grab a seat after starting the first two games of the series. Sean Murphy will take over at DH while Stephen Vogt starts at catcher and bats sixth.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, Junk has the highest strikeout rate (37.5%) and lowest walk rate (4.2%) this season among Thursday's listed starters.
