Skye Bolt sitting for Athletics Wednesday afternoon
Oakland Athletics outfielder Skye Bolt is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Touki Toussaint and the Los Angeles Angels.
What It Means:
Bolt will move to the bench following three straight starts. Cal Stevenson, who was just called up Wednesday in place of Jed Lowrie (DFA), will replace Bolt in center field and hit ninth.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Athletics’ implied total (3.91) is No. 19 in the majors today. Among Wednesday's projected starters, Toussaint has the third-best strikeout rate this season (27.3%), although he's only thrown 8 1/3 innings through two starts.
