Nico Hoerner (triceps) remains out for Cubs on Friday
Chicago Cubs infielder Nico Hoerner (triceps) is not in the starting lineup for Friday afternoon's series opener against right-hander German Marquez and the Colorado Rockies.
Hoerner is out of the order for a fourth consecutive game, but the Cubs haven't indicated that he will require a stint on the injured list. Christopher Morel will start at shortstop again Friday afternoon and hit ninth.
Morel has a $6,000 salary on FanDuel's single-game slate Friday afternoon and numberFire’s models project him for 10.4 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cubs’ implied total (4.52) is No. 6 in the majors today.
