Luis Gonzalez (back) placed on Giants' 10-day injured list
Sna Francisco Giants outfielder Luis Gonzalez has been placed on the Giants' 10-day injured list.
What It Means:
Gonzalez is dealing with a back injury. As such, he'll be required to spend at least 10 days on the shelf, and with the season dwindling down, it very well could be the end of his season. Ford Proctor has been recalled from Triple-A to pick up the slack.
In 350 plate appearances this season, Gonzalez has a .254 battin gaverage with a .683 OPS, 4 home runs, 31 runs, 36 RBI and 10 stolen bases.
