Shea Langeliers sitting Wednesday for Athletics
Oakland Athletics catcher Shea Langeliers is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's season finale against right-hander Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels.
Langeliers will take a seat after he went 1-for-6 with four walks and a pair of RBI in the first two games of the series. Sean Murphy will shift into the designated hitter role while Stephen Vogt starts at catcher and bats fifth.
Murphy has a $2,600 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 11.2 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, Ohtani has the highest strikeout rate this season (33.1%) out of Wednesday's projected starters.
