Joey Meneses at DH, batting second Opening Day for Nationals
Washington Nationals first baseman/outfielder Joey Meneses is at designated hitter and batting second on Opening Day against left-hander Max Fried and the Atlanta Braves.
Meneses is expected to see work at first base and in the corner outfield spots this season, in addition to designated hitter. Jeimer Candelario is in the three-hole for his Nationals debut and C.J. Abrams is at the bottom of the order. Here's the full lineup: Lane Thomas (RF), Meneses (DH), Candelario (3B), Dominic Smith (1B), Keibert Ruiz (C), Alex Call (LF), Luis GarcĂa (2B), Victor Robles (CF), Abrams (SS).
