David Villar in San Francisco dugout Tuesday
San Francisco Giants outfielder David Villar is not in the starting lineup versus right-hander Hunter Brown and the Houston Astros on Tuesday.
Villar will return to the bench after going 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in Monday's series opener. Brett Wisely will shift to second base and bat eighth while Cal Stevenson enters the lineup to play center field and hit ninth.
numberFire’s models project Wisely ($2,000) for 6.7 FanDuel points on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Giants' implied total is fifth-lowest today at 3.66 while the game total is 8.5. Since Brown made his debut last season, he has a 27.0% strikeout rate, 3.28 xFIP, 4.8% barrel rate, 11.0% swinging-strike rate, and 30.0% called plus swinging-strike rate (CSW%). That all amounts to a 3.42 SIERA over 50 2/3 career innings in the bigs.
