Joe Smith (hamstring) unavailable for Angels on Monday
Los Angeles Angels relief pitcher Joe Smith (hamstring) is unavailable for Monday's game against the New York Yankees.
Smith recently revealed that he has been dealing with hamstring discomfort for the past two and a half weeks, but hoped to avoid a stint on the disabled list. The Angels will soon face a decision on the matter.
We project Smith for a 3.22 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 19.7 strikeout rate in another 44 2/3 innings pitched this year. The severity of his injury could change that.
