Update: Red Sox' Chris Sale dealing with left shoulder soreness
Boston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale was pulled from Thursday night's game against the Cincinnati Reds due to shoulder soreness.
There was speculation earlier that Sale was removed from Thursday's game due to an illness, but the team has since confirmed that the ace is dealing with soreness in his throwing shoulder. Hopefully the star pitcher is only dealing with something minor, but we will likely find out more details in the coming days.
Sale was starting to look like his old self over the past month on the mound, throwing 30 strikeouts in 26 innings while posting a 2.42 ERA with a 0.81 WHIP. He had 6 more strikeouts through the first 3 innings tonight before he was pulled in the fourth.
