Kansas City Royals outfielder Edward Olivares is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Shane Bieber and the Cleveland Guardians.

Olivares will sit after going 0-for-4 with 2 strikeouts on Wednesday. Nick Pratto will return to the lineup to play first base and bat leadoff. Matt Duffy will be on third base and bat seventh while Maikel Garcia will man shortstop and hit fifth. Bobby Witt Jr. will replace Olivares at designated hitter and bat second.
