Chicago Cubs infielder Dansby Swanson (heel) is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Freddy Peralta and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Swanson is considered day-to-day after he exited Wednesday's game early with a left heel contusion. Nico Hoerner will cover shortstop on Thursday afternoon while Christopher Morel will be on the keystone and hit fifth. Ian Happ will hit third and Seiya Suzuki will be the Cubs' cleanup batter.
