Max Fried (forearm) back in Braves rotation Friday
Atlanta Braves left-handed pitcher Max Fried (forearm) will start in Friday afternoon's series opener against the Chicago Cubs.
The Braves activated Fried from the 60-day injured list on Friday after he missed nearly three months with a forearm strain. Fried isn't expected to have any restrictions in Friday's start.
numberFire's models project Fried ($9,600) for 28.7 FanDuel points on the 'all day' slate Friday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cubs' implied total is second-lowest of the day at 3.79 and the game total is 8.5. Fried has a 2.08 ERA and 2.39 xERA across five starts for the Braves this season, with a 29.2% hard-hit rate, 24.3% strikeout rate, and 5.8% walk rate.
