C.J. Cron (back) absent again Monday for Angels
Los Angeles Angels first baseman C.J. Cron (back) is not in the lineup again for Monday's series opener against right-hander Max Scherzer and the Texas Rangers.
Cron was removed from Saturday's game and held out of Sunday's lineup due to back stiffness, but he was able to enter off the bench Sunday. Mike Moustakas will man first base again on Monday while Luis Rengifo plays third base and Andrew Velazquez starts at shortstop.
numberFire’s models project Moose ($2,600) for 7.8 FanDuel points on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Angels' implied total is 3.70 and the game total is 8.5. Scherzer has a 3.88 ERA and 3.49 xERA this season, with a 37.2% hard-hit rate, 27.4% strikeout rate, and 6.9% walk rate.
