Chapman aggravated a finger injury in Sunday's series finale against the Cleveland Guardians, but it's unclear how much time he might miss. The Blue Jays recalled infielder Ernie Clement from Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding roster move. Clement will start at shortstop and hit eighth in Monday's series opener against right-hander Josiah Gray and the Washington Nationals. Davis Schneider will cover the hot corner for Chapman and hit cleanup on Monday.
