Fernando Tatis Jr. on cleanup duty Monday for Padres
San Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. is starting in right field and batting cleanup in Monday's series opener against right-hander Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals.
What It Means:
The Padres are mixing things around in the lineup after they were swept by the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend. Juan Soto is batting second and Manny Machado is hitting third while Tatis falls into the cleanup role for the first time this season.
