Triston Casas scratched for Boston on Saturday; Wilyer Abreu back in
Boston Red Sox infielder Triston Casas has been scratched from the lineup Saturday in the team's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Casas has been removed from the lineup a few hours before first pitch, though no reason has yet been given for the sudden absence. After some defensive shuffling, Wilyer Abreu is back in the lineup, playing center field and batting leadoff versus Blue Jays starter Chris Bassitt.
In 502 plate appearances this season, Casas has a .263 batting average with an .856 OPS, 24 home runs, 66 runs and 65 RBI.
