Nolan Schanuel sitting for Angels Thursday afternoon
Los Angeles Angels first baseman Nolan Schanuel is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Zach Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Angels appear to be giving Schanuel a breather in the day game after a night game. Brandon Drury will move to first base in place of Schanuel and Randal Grichuk (head) will return to bat leadoff. C.J. Cron will start at designated hitter and bat fifth.
numberFire’s models project Drury ($2,900) for 10.6 and Grichuk ($2,900) for 10.4 FanDuel points on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Angels have the lowest implied total (2.99) of the day and the game total is 7.5. Eflin has an xERA in the 92nd percentile and walk rate in the 99th percentile of the league among qualified pitchers this season. He also has a 26.0% strikeout rate in the 70th percentile.
