Zack Short sitting Tuesday for Tigers
Detroit Tigers infielder Zack Short is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against right-hander Zack Greinke and the Kansas City Royals.
Andy Ibanez will move to second base in place of Short and hit sixth while Matt Vierling rolls over to left field and hits second. Kerry Carpenter will start in right field and bat cleanup. Miguel Cabrera will bat fifth as the Tigers' designated hitter. Akil Baddoo is absent from the lineup for a second straight game.
numberFire’s models project Carpenter ($2,900) for 12.8 FanDuel points on Tuesday and he's one of our top point-per-dollar values among batters. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Tigers' implied total is 4.17 and the game total is 7.5. Greinke is 1-15 this season with a paltry 16.1% strikeout rate, second-worst among Tuesday's projected starters.
