Orioles' Mychal Givens unlikely to be on paternity leave
Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Mychal Givens is not expected to land on the paternity leave list, MASN's Roch Kubatko relays.
Givens' wife was due to give birth on July 11, and it looks like the new father will be back with his team in time for this weekend's showdown with his hometown Tampa Bay Rays.
Prior to the All-Star break, Givens held a 3.35 ERA, 28.57 percent strikeout rate and 12.00 percent walk rate over 40 1/3 innings of relief work.
