Nelson Velazquez idle Wednesday for Royals
Kansas City Royals outfielder Nelson Velazquez is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Corbin Burnes and the Baltimore Orioles.
What It Means:
Velazquez will sit for the second time this season. MJ Melendez will take over in left field and hit fifth. Vinnie Pasquantino will work as the designated hitter, while Salvador Perez will handle first base and Freddy Fermin will catch for lefty Cole Ragans.
