Lawrence Butler sitting again Friday for Athletics
Oakland Athletics outfielder Lawrence Butler is not in the lineup for Friday afternoon's series opener against left-hander Tarik Skubal and the Detroit Tigers.
What It Means:
The left-handed hitting Butler was also held out of the lineup versus a righty last game, but this was expected against a southpaw. Brent Rooker will start in right field and hit third, while Abraham Toro will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth.
