Detroit Tigers infielder Colt Keith is not in the lineup for Friday afternoon's series opener against left-hander JP Sears and the Oakland Athletics.

The left-handed hitting Kieth will take a seat against the Athletics' southpaw. Andy Ibanez will shift to the keystone on Friday and bat second, while Gio Urshela will start on third and hit sixth. Spencer Torkelson will hit right behind Ibanez.
