Ernie Clement sitting for Toronto Monday
The Toronto Blue Jays did not list Ernie Clement as a starter for Monday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
What It Means:
Clement will take a seat Monday while the Blue Jays work Justin Turner back into the lineup to take on the Mariners.
Clement posted a fantastic .380 batting average across 52 plate appearances with the Blue Jays last season and has done well to build on that small sample size in 2024. He's bating .280 in his first 26 plate appearances and already has as many homers (1) as he did last season. He is in a pinch for playing time for now, but could earn more work if he keeps hitting like he has been.
