Will Smith on Dodgers bench Wednesday afternoon
Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Chris Paddack and the Minnesota Twins.
Smith went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and 2 runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Twins, but he will sit following three straight starts behind the plate. Austin Barnes will catch for Bobby Miller and bat ninth on Wednesday afternoon. Teoscar Hernandez will move up two places and fill the cleanup spot.
numberFire's models project Hernandez for 9.1 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Dodgers' implied total (4.75) is tied for No. 6 in the majors today.
