Twins' Alex Kirilloff on bench versus lefty Monday
The Minnesota Twins did not include Alex Kirilloff in their lineup for Monday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Kirilloff will move to the bench for Monday's game against the Orioles and left-handed starter Cole Irvin. Byron Buxton will move back into the lineup in centerfield and will bat third against the lefty.
Kirilloff has been excellent against right-handed pitching this year, but is still limited to a platoon-role in the Twins' offense. He's up to a .915 OPS through 49 plate appearances, with an impressive collection of triples (3) already.
