Cleveland's Edwin Encarnacion dealing with hip soreness
Cleveland Indians first baseman Edwin Encarnacion is dealing with minor soreness in his right hip.
This explains why the 34-year-old slugger will be missing his second straight game on Wednesday. It doesn't sound like this is going to be a long-term issue, and he's available for pinch-hitting duties on Wednesday.
Encarnacion is slashing .231/.343/.405 with a .330 wOBA, 10 home runs and 22 RBI through 54 games (231 plate appearances) in 2017.
