Marlins' Martin Prado drawing interest from Yankees, Red Sox
The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox have reached out to the Miami Marlins about a potential trade for infielder Martin Prado, reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
The Yankees are looking for an upgrade over Chase Headley, while Pablo Sandoval has disappointed in Boston. Prado has been limited to 21 games this season after missing the majority of May and June with a strained hamstring.
Prado is hitting .277/.299/.398 with two home runs and nine RBI in 87 plate appearances this season.
