Chris Owings (finger) not on Diamondbacks' roster for NL Wild Card Game
Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop/outfielder Chris Owings will not be on the roster for the NL Wild Card Game, per MLB Network's Jon Morosi.
Owings was placed on the 60-day disabled list on July 31st, after he fractured his right middle finger when hit by a pitch. He's still rehabbing and might be eligible to play if the Diamondbacks advance to the National League Division Series or beyond. Until then, Ketel Marte and Adam Rosales will serve as the team's shortstop.
In 97 games, Owings hit to a .268/.299/.442 triple-slash with 12 home runs over 386 plate appearances. He owns an average of 9.5 FanDuel points per game this season.
