Rays trade Jake Odorizzi to Twins in exchange for Jermaine Palacios
The Tampa Bay Rays have traded starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for shortstop prospect Jermaine Palacios according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
The Twins were in need of some starting pitching this offseason, and they didn't have to give up much to get it. Palacios wasn't a very highly ranked prospect in the Twins' system, so it's a nice low-risk high-reward move to get an innings-eating pitcher with a career 3.83 ERA.
Odorizzi averaged 25.6 FanDuel points per game in 2017 for the Rays.
